- Did you hire someone to demolish your house that stands next to mine? - asked Susan Hodgson, her neighbor. The woman shared her story in a conversation with FOX 5 Atlanta. She had just left for vacation. She had no intention of demolishing anything.
When her neighbor went to the demolition company's workers and asked what they were doing, she was told to "mind her own business." Hodgson asked a family member to go to the location.
- Please, some permit, whatever - a team member who was demolishing a house heard from him. When he reached for the documents, he noticed a mistake. - Oh, I mixed up the addresses - he stated, then took the equipment and left.
The company made a mistake. "Nothing was offered to me."
- It's hard to believe that someone thinks they have the right to come, destroy something, and leave, instead of coming back and saying: "I'm sorry, what can I do to fix it, it was an accident. Nothing was offered to me," Hodgson said in an interview with FOX 5 Atlanta.
In the house that was demolished, no one was residing at that moment. It had been owned by a family for over 40 years.
The company has sent a statement to the station, assuring that they are working on resolving this situation.
