You'll undoubtedly agree with me that potatoes are an essential ingredient in our cuisine. Even though these vegetables are usually associated with lunch dishes, today I propose something completely different.
How about an scrumptious snack in a creamy version? A dish of potatoes with a cheesy twist, served in a unique way, is a real ten out of ten! Today's warm snack also works well with a winter menu. It's simply delicious!
Ingredients:
- 10 cooked potatoes,
- salt and pepper to taste,
- 6 tablespoons of butter,
- 2 peeled and crushed garlic cloves,
- 1/2 cup of milk,
- 1/2 cup of grated parmesan,
- parsley for garnish,
- extra grated parmesan for garnish.
Instructions:
Step 1. I start the recipe by peeling and boiling the potatoes. Once they are perfectly soft, I smash them with a masher.
Step 2. I place another pot on the stove. I add the butter and peeled and crushed garlic cloves. I stir the ingredients with a wooden spoon for a few minutes.
Step 3. Then, I remove the pot from the stove and pour milk into it. I season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Again, I stir the contents of the pot.
Step 4. I transfer the resulting mixture to the pot with the potatoes, and thoroughly combine. When it's evenly mixed, I add the finely grated parmesan.
Step 5. I transfer the creamy mixture to a piping bag to give the potato towers an interesting shape. I then pipe the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper, creating mini towers.
Step 6. I sprinkle each tower with an additional layer of parmesan. Only after this, do I place the baking sheet into the preheated oven. The oven should be set at 428 degrees Fahrenheit and the potato towers should bake for 15-20 minutes.
Step 7. I serve the finished towers with chopped parsley. Bon appétit!
That's all for today. As you can see, it's quite easy to prepare this tasty warm snack that's simple and also looks elegant. Naturally, nothing stops you from serving these towers for dinner as well. Just pair them with some meat and a colorful salad. Perfection!
