Their project, labelled as GBR002, might be mistaken for a classic 911 at a cursory glance. However, it is, in fact, a modern and strikingly designed machine. Its bodywork – the doors being the sole exception – is crafted entirely from carbon fiber, saving an impressive 441 pounds compared to the original 964.
A tasteful coat of Oak Green paint is offset by subtle chrome accents throughout the car. Golden 18-inch Fuchs wheels make a fitting addition. Not only do they conceal an efficient modern braking system, but they also cover an active suspension by TracTive.
Beneath the rear shell, there's an air-cooled four-liter engine producing a robust 412 horsepower. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, supplied by Wavetrac. There is also an adjustable flaps exhaust system for customizable sound.
The interior echoes the modern theme of the car. The cabin pairs white, gray, and green hues, and boasts Recaro CS seats, coupled with a multimedia system featuring Bluetooth connectivity, a powerful Focal amplifier, and high-quality leather and Alcantara upholstery.
Regrettably, all of this sophistication comes at a hefty cost. Theon Design's asking price is a staggering 380,000 pounds ($ 483 290). This does not factor in the cost of the original 964 donor vehicle, shipping, or taxes. Additionally, customers should be prepared for a wait that can extend up to 18 months.
