The information about this tragedy is reported by Nexta. As we read, 55-year-old Oleg Greczko had been in prison several times in the past for murder. As in the case of other Wagnerians, he was pardoned for participating in the war. The man returned from the front and reached his home in Zavolzhye in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
As reported by the avia.pro service, on Thursday, September 28, Greczko had a quarrel with his sister. The angry man doused the woman with gasoline and burned her along with the house. Unfortunately, she could not be saved.
The Wagnerian also ended up in the hospital. Grzeczko suffered hand burns. Immediately after leaving the hospital, he was detained by law enforcement authorities. During questioning, he confessed to the crime. He will be held accountable for murder with particular cruelty.
"Wagnerites' crimes in Ukraine"
The Wagner Group fought on the Russian side during the ongoing war in Ukraine. In June of this year, its chief, Evgeny Prigozhin, rebelled against Vladimir Putin and took over Rostov-on-Don. After negotiations, in which the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko was supposed to have mediated, the dispute was resolved. But not for long.
On August 23, exactly two months after the uprising, the plane carrying Prigozhin, as well as the commander of the Wagner Group, Dmitrij Utkin, was supposedly shot down while flying over Russia. In the crash, all the passengers died - there were a total of 10 people. The death of Prigozhin led to the disbandment of the Wagner Group.
Some of her mercenaries are in Belarus, where they train the local military. The others are being absorbed by the Rosgvardia or directed straight into the army. It is worth noting that many members of the group are still in Africa, where they defend the Kremlin's interests - related, for example, to the exploitation of natural resources.
The Wagner Group is notorious for its extreme brutality. Its members are former convicts who receive pardons for participating in the war. The mercenaries are said to have committed crimes against civilians in Ukraine. The most notorious of these are the mass executions in Buczy, Hostomel, Irpin, and Mariupol.
