The truth behind Trump's tan: Makeup artist spills secrets
Audrey Lefevre, a French makeup artist who in 2017 handled the makeup for Donald Trump, revealed what the President-elect looks like without it. She explained the origin of his orange skin color and the distinctive red and white spots.
Lefevre disclosed that Donald Trump uses self-tanner to conceal his naturally pale complexion and red spots on his face. In 2017, she was hired for three days to manage the Trump family's appearance. Before starting the job, she underwent a thorough background check by the Secret Service.
In an interview with the German newspaper "Bild," she admitted she had been unaware of collaborating with the Trumps until she discovered the connections between Ivanka Trump, Donald and Ivana's daughter, and her company.
I found out that Ivanka had been working with my company for some time and that many of the makeup tests I had previously conducted were for the Trumps. I was classified as stress-resistant - she recounted.
The makeup artist revealed the secret of Donald Trump's makeup
The makeup artist emphasizes that Trump's orange skin tone is the result of using self-tanner, not the work of professional makeup artists. Lefevre explains that the President-elect has very pale skin, almost like an albino, which is concealed by the self-tanner.
It is important for me to say, also on behalf of all my colleagues, that no professional makeup artist is responsible for his orange complexion. It's the self-tanner - she said.
In addition to makeup secrets, Lefevre also comments on Trump's hair. She assures that the lush hairstyle of the President-elect is natural and there's nothing artificial about it. Every hair on Trump's head is his own.
After the inauguration, Lefevre continued to work for Ivanka Trump but eventually ended the collaboration. She does not disclose whether she will work on Trump's next inauguration.
