We've seen an electric version and a combustion engine version. Now, the Jeep Avenger introduces another variant - a hybrid. So, what characterizes this new version, and what does it offer its driver?

The Jeep Avenger dominated the 2023 Car of the Year plebiscite. This American crossover surpassed its rivals to win this distinguished title, making it the first Jeep in history. Intriguingly, the Avenger was solely available in its electric variant when this award was conferred.

In the ensuing months, a petrol engine joined the Avenger family. There have been whispers for some time that Jeep wasn't stopping there. Official confirmation has now been received: The top-selling American car has a hybrid variant.

The Jeep Avenger e-Hybrid is equipped with a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine. This "mild hybrid" (MHEV) is paired with an automatic dual-clutch transmission, delivering around 100 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of maximum torque. The electric motor, contributing an additional 28 horsepower and roughly 41 lb-ft, is also fully integrated with the transmission.

The new Avenger can accelerate from 0 to approximately 62 mph in less than 11 seconds, but with this particular variant, economy becomes vital. In city driving, the hybrid Avenger uses its electric drive for as much as half of the time, and the cooperation between the units allows a remarkable reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

We do not yet know the Avenger's "mild hybrid" price range in Poland. Yet, Jeep has achieved its goal with this model; it offers exceptional versatility and choice - there's something for everyone.
