The star of English football may become the protagonist in adult novels

The idea may sound ridiculous, but Jilly Cooper, the 86-year-old author herself, has proposed it. She believes that the fictional adventures of Jack Grealish could fan the flames of romance for readers in the UK.

Jack Grealish is one of the most well-known football players in the UK. He has played for Manchester City since 2021 and, in 2023, won the Champions League along with his fellow team members.

Moreover, the English national team's midfielder is a major attraction for British tabloids. Post his Champions League victory, every movement of Jack Grealish, who had been partying for several days, was followed by the paparazzi. The media was concerned about whether the footballer could "sober up" before joining the England team's training. Gareth Southgate, the team selector, even recommended Grealish to curtail his celebration.

Grealish's relationship with Sasha Attwood stirs a lot of attention. Grealish's partner, Sasha, is carving out her own niche on social media, maintaining a distinct image apart from the footballer's nonchalant persona. In England, she is seen as one of the most stylish WAG's.

Novelist Jilly Cooper confessed that a character inspired by Grealish could serve as the hero in her upcoming romance novel. The 86-year-old author's books consistently top the bestseller lists.

"Jack Grealish possesses an appealing charisma," said Jilly Cooper, a confessed Manchester City fan, which happens to be Grealish's club. This is why Cooper took a special interest in Grealish.

Whether Cooper would follow through with her idea and feature a character based on Jack Grealish in her next novel remains to be seen. It is currently unknown what adventures she has envisaged for the popular footballer. Neither Grealish nor his partner Sasha Attwood have yet to comment on the author's plans, as reported by "The Sun".
