US top tech firms are well-known for offering hefty paychecks to their software specialists. The wages range from a substantial $29 per hour for new hires at TikTok to a whopping $1.3 million annual salary at Google, as reported by Insider.

Companies are mandated to disclose information on annual compensation when employing workers from abroad. This transparency enables us a detailed look at these substantial figures.

At Alphabet, Google's parent company, a software engineer could make an average annual salary of $325,000. Leaked data from July suggests that a certain software engineer at Google received a base salary as high as $718,000. Yearly bonuses for this position could add up to $605,000. Therefore, a software engineer could potentially earn about $1.3 million a year.

Amazon closely follows this trend, with their highest-ranking software development engineers receiving salary offers of nearly $300,000 per year, and senior software development managers earning even more, as much as $340,000.

Apple has also offered a significant amount of $415,000 to a senior manager from outside the US, being the highest-paid non-American employee. At Microsoft, the highest salary among international employees was given to a business planner, with a sum of $310,000.

Other tech giants including Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IBM, Dell, and Intel, also pay competitive salaries - between $160,000 and $335,000 per year for their software staff.

At Meta (formerly Facebook), both software engineers and engineering managers can anticipate annual earnings of upwards of $290,000, while product managers receive around $280,000.

Tesla rewards its software developers with a starting base annual salary exceeding $175,000. Meanwhile, at X (formerly Twitter), engineers can expect to earn upwards of $300,000.

ByteDance and its subsidiary, TikTok, offer starting salaries of $29 per hour for entry-level employees, rising to as much as $438,000 per year for engineering managers.

At Uber, senior engineers can anticipate an annual income of around $345,000, while data analysts and senior product managers can earn $170,000 or more.
