The Samsung Galaxy S24 will be packed with artificial intelligence: New features leaked
Experts predict that the advancement of AI will be a major trend in smartphones in 2024, and Samsung aims to be the front runner in this new direction.
Samsung has issued a myriad of promotional materials that outline their ambitious AI development plans, suggesting that next year's smartphones will be able to translate phone conversations live, use a smart zoom feature that autonomously tracks objects on screen, among others. What other innovative ideas is Samsung exploring?
Artificial intelligence in one UI 6.1: Leaked Samsung Galaxy S24 features
Pro user BenIt Bruhner made multiple posts on X (previously known as Twitter), revealing materials that allegedly originate from the test version of the One UI 6.1 software. It is expected that this software will debut with the Galaxy S24 series, with a predicted launch date of January of the coming year.
According to the leaks, one of the new features may be Google's AI wallpaper generator, a technology previously seen in the Pixel 8. This feature produces unique graphics based on verbal descriptions.
Reports suggest that the Galaxy S24 will also incorporate an advanced image editor, allowing for options such as image enlargement, AI-based background filling, and object relocation within images.
In addition, users can expect a handy "cut and paste" tool for moving selected objects from one photo to another.
The leaks hint toward the incorporation of artificial intelligence in note-taking as well. As per information available, notes will be automatically formatted and bullet-pointed to enhance clarity and organization.
It is speculated that AI will provide a boost to voice calling too--not just through the previously mentioned live translation feature, but also by eliminating any background noise during calls.
Remember that these features have been found in the One UI 6.1 development version, so some features could undergo changes or removal by the time of system launch. Nevertheless, all indications suggest that Samsung intends to leverage artificial intelligence in a host of new ways. In the past, Samsung stated their goal was to develop "the smartest smartphone in the world".
