It all started with a police intervention at Grzybowski Square in Warsaw. On October 4, officers arrested a citizen of Iceland who had thrown a laptop at a Bentley car — he damaged the hood, and then kicked the front of the car. As reported by RMF FM, the owner of the luxury vehicle estimated the damage at at least 60 thousand zlotys (about $15,776).

The Icelander was taken into the KSP detention room, but there... he attacked the police officers with his fists. In the footage that appeared online, we can observe surprising scenes. The officers clearly could not handle the tall man. He was battering them with his fists, knocking them to the ground. The police seemed to be fairly helpless and lost.

At some point, one of the officers ran for gas, but even that was of little use. Then, reinforcements were brought in from the courtyard of the command.

The powerful Icelander proved to be a difficult opponent to overcome. When the recording of this incident hit the internet, police spokesman Sylwester Marczak appealed that the training of the officers should not be judged based on individual interventions. He also added that the footage will be used for training police officers.

An aggressive Icelander has been accused of assault against officers and damaging property.
