In the United Kingdom, the largest battery energy storage has been created. The investment is made by the Harmony Energy Income Trust company. By launching the largest storage in Europe, the investor broke the previous record, which he himself set.

Harmony Energy Income Trust (HEIT) is a British investor who has just launched the largest battery energy storage in Europe. The storage built as part of the Bumpers project broke the previous record held by another HEIT investment, which is the storage located in Pillswood in Yorkshire.

The warehouse, which until now had been considered the largest in Europe, had a power level of 98 MW and a capacity of 196 MWh. The newly launched warehouse in Buckinghamshire slightly exceeds its parameters. Its power is 99 MW and its capacity is 198 MWh. In addition, the HEIT Little Raith warehouse with a power of 49.5 MW and a capacity of 99 MWh, located in Scotland, has also been launched.

Both storages are two-hour storages. They are capable of storing an amount of electrical energy that will allow for powering 450 thousand households for two hours. Tesla's technology has been used to operate the storage.

A Tesla Megapack 2XL system has been implemented in the warehouse located in Buckinghamshire. The project is managed using Tesla's algorithmic trading platform called Autobidder. The same platform is used in the investor's other projects.

The construction of energy storage facilities is designed to help stabilize the British energy system, which relies heavily on renewable energy sources, and also to facilitate energy transformation, which is increasingly less dependent on fossil fuels. Thanks to energy storage systems, wind power plants will be stopped less frequently during periods when production exceeds demand.
