The Israeli portal Walla reports that Hamas is in an increasingly difficult situation. All because of the lack of fuel in the Gaza Strip, which may force members of the organization to leave the tunnels in which they are hiding. - When the fuel in the Gaza Strip runs out, Hamas will have to leave the tunnels or suffocate - the portal notes.

According to the portal's source, this is exactly what Hamas fears. - That's why they are not interested in food or water supplies, only fuel - emphasizes the informant.

"Hamas is under great pressure"

Walla reminds us that most members of Hamas, including its leaders and fighters, are located in deep tunnels stretching under the Gaza Strip. Electricity is essential for them to "pump air underground, operate communication systems, and activate rocket launchers".

The portal notes that without access to electricity and fuel for generators, Hamas members are unable to hide in the tunnels. - Each passing day increases their anxiety. That's why Hamas is under tremendous pressure - a portal informant conveyed.

Thousands of civilians fall victim to conflict

The situation in the Gaza Strip was also commented on by the UN agency dealing exclusively with Palestinian refugees, UNRWA. On Wednesday, they stated that without "immediate fuel supplies" it would be forced to radically limit its humanitarian operations. The reason? Lack of fuel will make it impossible for trucks to transport medicine and food - reports the Associated Press agency.

In response to allegations of blocking fuel supplies to the Gaza Strip, the spokesperson for Israel's defense forces, Daniel Hagari, informed journalists that it was Hamas who took over and stored for their own needs approximately 132,086 gallons of fuel for generators.

As a result of the Israeli bombardments that have been going on since October 7, at least 6546 Palestinians have been killed, including 2704 children, and over 17.4 thousand have been injured - the Gaza Strip health department announced on Wednesday.
