The topic of how the brains of psychopaths work often keeps scientists awake at night, which is why a certain group from the University of Innsbruck in Austria decided to check whether narcissistic and sadistic individuals have their own specific taste preferences. It turns out that psychopaths have their favorite taste.

Researchers from Austria have compiled a list of products most commonly chosen by people with psychopathic tendencies. Among the daily menu of narcissists, psychopaths, and sadists appear black coffee, tonic, radish, and celery. Do you know what they have in common? The same characteristic, bitter taste.

1000 people participated in the study, who were expected to answer about their food and drink preferences. In the next part of the study, the respondents solved personality tests, which were to indicate their tendencies towards antisocial behaviors such as narcissism or psychopathy.

Scientists have noticed that people who declare themselves as lovers of bitter tastes, most often showed psychopathic tendencies. People who like bitter tastes are also less likely to help others and quickly make harsh moral judgments.

It is estimated that 1 in 100 people have psychopathic traits. Not every one of them is a terrible and cruel criminal. Most of them, however, can easily manipulate others and gain control over those in their environment. How can you recognize them? First of all, people with signs of psychopathy are meticulous. They pay attention to details and accurately perform tasks. They lie to achieve their intended goal. They can also cause quite a stir to then show their superior over others.
