Madeleine McCann disappeared in May 2007, and despite ongoing investigations, no trace of the girl has been found. The prime suspect for some time has been a German citizen, Christian B. Now, local services have a new theory about this 54-year-old convicted pedophile. Is a breakthrough forthcoming in this case?

German detectives speculate that Christian B.'s previous partners might possess critical information about his involvement in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Investigators are hopeful that the testimonies from the suspect's former girlfriends could help clarify the "unclear timeline" of the 54-year-old's life in Praia de Luz. In this location, Madeleine was last seen alive by her parents.

New Theory Proffered by German Investigators on the Disappearance of Madeleine McCann

German law enforcement officers, working against the clock, are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to establish a link between the now-convicted pedophile and the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. An insider source reportedly told "The Sun" that German detectives strongly believe Christian B. was involved in Maddie's disappearance, despite a lack of precise knowledge of his activities during his time in Praia de Luz.

It is speculated that Christian B. spent years roaming the island and living out of a van. Investigators are keen to uncover more details about his activities during this time, along with his associates. A significant hurdle they face, however, is the current strained relationship with Portuguese police–the worst it's ever been–added the source from the British newspaper.

The same source revealed that Portuguese police are not offering German investigators "any intelligence information". This has compelled officers to delve into the past, seeking out former friends, colleagues, girlfriends, and even lovers of Christian B in search of further leads.

German investigators are confident that one former partner of the convicted pedophile holds crucial information about the case of the missing girl.

Two years ago, Nuray Oezgen gave an account of how she met Christian B. while working at a bar in Hanover in 2012. They eventually lived together, but their relationship soured as Christian B. grew increasingly aggressive and developed an alcohol problem, leaving Oezgen to struggle with paying for their apartment.

Oezgen also mentioned that B. started to show an "unhealthy fascination with young students." Their relationship ended when she discovered he was having an affair with a teenager.

During a search of Christian B.'s house in Brunswick, police discovered a hidden stash of pedophilic photos, among other evidence. He had also sexually abused his friend's 5-year-old daughter, from which he fled to Portugal. Later, an arrest warrant was issued, and B. confessed to the heinous crime.

The German native was deported to Germany and imprisoned in 2016. According to The Sun's source, Christian B.'s "stubborn" and "hedonistic" lifestyle has piqued significant interest among investigators. Details of his eccentric life in Germany and subsequently in Portugal, including drug use and numerous encounters with women, have surfaced.

A network of ex-partners and previous lovers may have potentially crucial information about his actions. Official inquiries urgently require new developments in this case – revealed the newspaper's source.

German police are under pressure as time is of the essence. The coming weeks could be vital for the direction of the investigation, said The Sun's informant. The case teeters on the brink of collapse as there are currently no fresh leads, and the main witness who propelled the last series of inquiries has been exhausted.
