"The Crown". When is the premiere of season 6 and what will it be about?
The series "The Crown" debuted in 2016 and after seven years, it will see its final episodes. Netflix has announced when the premiere will occur. Or rather, premieres, as for the first time in the history of this production, it has been decided to split the final season into two parts.
"The crown is a symbol of continuity. It's who you are, not what you do. A part of you is always lost. We all make sacrifices. It's not a choice, it's a duty. But what about the life I set aside?" - these are the words of the TV queen in the teaser for the finale of "The Crown". Or rather, queens, as all three actresses who have portrayed Elizabeth II over the years appear in the clip: Claire Foy, Olivia Colman, and Imelda Staunton.
Netflix announced that the sixth and final season of "The Crown" will be divided into two unequal parts. The first four episodes will be available for viewing from November 16th. The second part will consist of six episodes and will hit the Netflix platform on December 14.
The sixth season of "The Crown" tells the story of Princess Diana's romance with Dodi Fayed, her vacation with her sons on a millionaire's yacht, and her tragic death in a car accident in a Parisian tunnel.
The second part is about William's life at his new school after losing his mother and meeting Kate Middleton. But also the golden jubilee of the queen and the subplot of Charles's second marriage. This means that the action of "The Crown" finale will be taking place between the years 1997-2005.
We will see Elisabeth Debicki (Princess Diana), Khalid Abdalla (Dodi Fayed), Dominic West (Prince Charles), Imelda Staunton (Queen Elizabeth II), Jonathan Pryce (Prince Philip), Meg Bellamy (Kate Middleton), and Ed McVey (Prince William) in the main roles.
