Information from the 'What's on Netflix' service gives us a sneak peek at the titles and descriptions of the initial four episodes. The opening episode, 'Persona Non-Grata,' reveals Princess Diana (played by Elizabeth Debicki) and William and Harry vacationing in Saint-Tropez, courtesy of Mohamed Al Fayed. In the meantime, Prince Charles (Dominic West) proceeds with his plans to validate his relationship with Camilla (Olivia Williams). Al Fayed also nurtures a plan involving his son and Diana.
The second episode, 'Two Photographs', offers a glimpse into Diana's romantic affair with Dodi, recorded by a lurking photographer. The intimate photos of the couple gradually invade the public domain, posing a potential threat to the princess. The third episode, 'Dis-moi Qui', or 'Tell me Who', tells the story of Diana and Dodi's yacht vacation. All is not smooth sailing, however, as Diana is longing for her sons, William and Harry, while Dodi becomes entangled in a suit initiated by his ex-fiancée. A fatal trip to Paris adds to the drama.
The fourth episode, 'Aftermath,' portrays Charles and Fayed journeying to Paris after learning about the tragic accident that claimed Diana and Dodi's lives. The news of the tragedy engulfed Britain and elsewhere with a wave of public mourning. Caught off guard, the queen (Imelda Staunton) becomes a subject of vehement criticism from the media and citizens for her response to the incident. Charles strongly urges her to break protocol and address the public.
