The cause of the massive explosion that rocked the village of Siedowe in the Russian-occupied region of Donetsk is still unknown. On November 5, the "Friendship" inn, located 62 miles from the contact line, was engulfed in flames. Suspicions are circulating that Ukrainians may be responsible for the attack.

The Russian independent news outlet, ASTRA, confirmed that the event was officially categorized by the Emergency Situations Ministry as a "domestic fire".

Was the Explosion Caused by Ukrainians?

ASTRA reported that a fire at the "Friendship" inn on Komsomolskaya Street in the occupied village of Siedowe in the Donetsk region began at 1PM ET on November 5. The inn was housing Russian military personnel at the time. At 2:20PM ET, rescuers located the fire, after which the stored ammunition began to explode. It's still unknown if there were any casualties, as ASTRA reports.

Precision of ATACMS Missiles

The Russian channel, "Donbass Partisan," alleges that "the Ukrainian Armed Forces used Shadow Storm/ATACMS missiles in a mass and mixed attack to hit the ammunition depot of the Russian Armed Forces in Siedowo," which is more than 62 miles from the contact line.

However, Russian military correspondent "Romanov" contradicted this claim by stating that "there was no missile attack," but rather "a fire broke out due to a short circuit in a small building where a limited amount of ammunition was stored." Nevertheless, "Romanov" later circulated the version presented by "Donbass Partisan," which suggested a missile attack.

If these allegations are confirmed, this would constitute another successful attack executed using precision ATACMS missiles.
