Texas authorities decide to euthanize a coyote after it bit three children

On Thursday morning, Arlington Animal Services apprehended a coyote suspected of being involved in three separate biting incidents involving children.

The city authorities stated "The three children were bitten from Saturday to Tuesday at the park on the playground or in the parking lot, the city said in a release Wednesday. All were treated and released from the hospital. They will also get post-exposure rabies treatment.

According to City of Arlington on Facebook The coyote will be "humanely euthanized and transported to Texas Health and Human Services in Austin for rabies testing".

Park closed

According to city officials, following the announcement of a second child being bitten, the city opted to shut down the park on Tuesday. In response, animal services increased their efforts by setting additional traps and initiating patrols.
