Texas: at least two dead in a school bus crash

State Highway 21 West was the place of the accident. It turns out that the school bus was hit by a truck while travelling in the West direction.

The casualties are one child and one adult which were the passengers of the bus included in the accident. The truck, carrying concrete was travellin an opposite direction to the scool bus. There were 53 more people on the list of victims of the accident.

Ten people were in the serious or critical condition while the rest suffered only minor injuries, but wre taken to the hospital nevertheless.

CNN News give more specific report:

Two people are dead, including a child, after a concrete truck struck a school bus full of pre-K children returning from a field trip head-on in Bastrop County, Texas, according to officials.

The bus, traveling westbound on State Highway 21, was hit by the concrete truck traveling in the other direction, according to Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Deon Cockrell. One child on the bus and an adult passenger in a vehicle behind the bus died.

In an updated post on X, Austin-Travis County EMS said a total of 53 patients were evaluated at the scene. Four patients were taken to hospitals in critical condition and six in potentially serious condition. The rest sustained minor injuries and were either taken to hospitals or to the unification center, the post said.
