Although the necessary technologies were lacking over 100 years ago, today, his vision is becoming increasingly real. Thanks to advances in wireless technology, companies like Emrod and Space Power Technologies are working on solutions that could revolutionize the energy sector on a global scale.

The scientific vision of Tesla is an idea from over 100 years ago

Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest inventors of all time, already over 100 years ago predicted the possibility of wirelessly transmitting energy over long distances. His energy revolution was based on the concept that electrical energy could be transmitted without wires. In 1891, Tesla presented his coil to the world known as the Tesla Coil, which was a key element of his vision. This device allowed the transmission of energy over a distance of up to 2 miles. Despite the enormous potential of Tesla's project, the technology of the time was not yet sufficiently advanced to implement this solution on a wide scale.

Tesla was not discouraged, however. He built an experimental transmission station on Long Island, the Tesla Tower. It was a huge structure that was supposed to enable wireless energy transmission worldwide. Unfortunately, a lack of funding and investor skepticism ended the project before its full potential could be realized. The tower was demolished in 1917, but Tesla's vision remained alive. Today, over a century later, technology is beginning to catch up with the inventor's dreams, and wireless transmission of electrical energy is on the horizon.

Will Tesla's dream come true, and when?

Modern technologies and scientific research are allowing us to get closer to realizing Nikola Tesla's vision over 100 years ago. The revolution in the energy sector that the inventor dreamed of is becoming increasingly real thanks to advances in wireless energy transmission. An example of this is the activity of modern companies, such as the New Zealand startup Emrod, which is developing a prototype wireless energy infrastructure system.

New technologies that allow energy transmission using radio waves, microwaves, and lasers are emerging. Some of these methods are already in the testing phase. The most advanced work is being conducted in New Zealand, where the startup above tests a solution that could soon be implemented widely. Once the technology is perfected, wireless energy transmission could become standard in many countries worldwide.

In particular, people who are skeptical of 5G technology may oppose the implementation of wireless energy transmission.
