Tesla conquers the European market. Model Y is the number one
Despite a certain shortness of breath that Tesla caught at the beginning of the second half of 2023, the Model Y is still the most popular car in Europe and finishes the third quarter of the year at the top of the table.

Tesla is definitively one of the biggest winners of 2023, at least if we summarize three out of the four quarters. The start was really strong due to declaring a price war to the entire automotive market and consistently lowering the prices of their cars. All of this coincided with a significant jump in popularity of electric cars.
Tesla, on its own, did a great job when it comes to car production - without it, we wouldn't be able to speak of the American brand conquering the sales charts, thanks to Model Y. The electric crossover was the preferred car in the first half of 2023, and even despite August's dips, it managed to maintain a high position in the chart.
The latest data from September provided by Dataforce confirm this. The Tesla Model Y was the leader of the European market in the said month, selling 26,370 units. The next spots in the ranking were occupied by Peugeot 208 (21,111 units), Renault Clio (19,731 units), Volkswagen Golf (19,317 units), and Dacia Sandero (18,587 units).
The Model Y also leads the rankings for the period from January through September 2023. The bestseller from Tesla has sold a total of 180,721 units. Compared to the same period in 2022, this is a jump of a whopping 125 percent!
In the next deposits, we will also find familiar faces, in order: Dacia Sandero (166,675 units), Volkswagen T-Roc (155,972 units), Peugeot 208 (147,091 units), and Renault Clio (141,941 units).
