It happened. Those who were traumatized by the previous parts of the horror movie Terrifier must brace themselves for the fact that the third installment will receive increasing coverage online. Nobody wanted to release this film in theaters for a long time.

The first film in Damien Leone's "Terrifier" series was made for around $35,000, which is peanuts considering industry standards. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, it became almost a cult hit among horror fans. The story of Art the Clown, terrorizing people trapped in a deserted ruin, was a traumatic experience for many viewers. Though it wasn't shown in many theaters, it gained traction through streaming services and DVD. The second part could only be worse.

"Terrifier" continues to traumatize viewers

"Terrifier 2: Holiday Massacre" is one of this decade's most talked-about horror films. Reports from the US indicated that people were fainting or even vomiting during screenings, and theater staff had to call emergency medical services. This buzz made the film a hit. Damien Leone's work, with a budget of $250,000, earned over $15 million. It was clear Leone would push boundaries further with a continuation. He infused even more violence into the already critically brutal story, which did not sit well with Hollywood studios.

Leone recently revealed that the "Terrifier 3" opening scene is so terrifying that no film studio would allow him to shoot it.

"So mark my words, I guarantee you the first 5 minutes of this movie is going to be very controversial. But that’s not even the big kill scene. So like that’s why I was like, I need to just make this movie on my own, because it’s just too…it’s too insane," he said.

The third installment of the slasher did make it to theaters on September 19.

Those who have already seen the continuation are warning viewers who might consider attending a screening. "You silly fools have no idea what is waiting for you in Terrifier 3. You wouldn’t believe what these eyes have seen," writes one viewer quoted by Digital Spy. "Shocking and disarming at the same time," writes another with stronger nerves. "The most disgusting, nasty, and bloody thing I have ever seen," they add. Who will dare to watch it?
