Teen thief in Brazil hit by bus and killed moments after robbery
On Friday, July 19th, in the western part of Sao Paulo, Brazil, a tragic incident occurred. A 17-year-old boy, immediately after stealing a phone from an elderly man, was fatally hit by a bus. The accident happened as the teenager fled just seconds after the theft. He was transported to the hospital, but unfortunately, he could not be saved.

The incident occurred on Friday, July 19th, in the western part of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The 17-year-old stole a cell phone from a 71-year-old man and, while fleeing, ran under a moving bus. Despite immediate assistance and being taken to the hospital, he died from extensive injuries.
An online video shows an elderly man walking on the sidewalk and talking on the phone. At some point, a young man runs up to him and snatches the phone from his hand. He then starts to run quickly and, due to his carelessness, runs directly under a moving city bus.
The speeding vehicle hits him with significant force, and then the 17-year-old is dragged under the chassis. The whole incident lasts just a few seconds.
The Public Security Secretariat informed the Brazilian news service Correio in a statement that the police were called in response to the incident of the hit-and-run and theft on Domingos Rodrigues Street.
