Security footage captures the severe assault
The victim was rushed to the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in the 13th district, where, according to sources, his life is not believed to be in danger. "Le Parisien" acquired surveillance footage showing several youths chasing after two or three other teenagers. When one of the boys falls, the group encircles him.
Seconds later, the attackers scattered, but one returned wielding what seemed to be a hammer and struck the victim in the skull twice, the newspaper detailed.
A dispute between schools escalates
This harsh episode may be linked to a feud between two schools, likely situated in the 11th and 20th districts. Earlier that day, an altercation involving three teenagers was reported. According to a police source quoted by "Le Parisien," these students were also attacked with knives by their fellow students.
