- Nearly 24 hours after part of a hotel collapsed in Kroev, Rhineland-Palatinate, in western Germany, the last living person was pulled from the rubble - the local fire department reported late Wednesday evening. Two people died in the accident. For many hours, rescuers couldn't extract a living woman from the debris, though they managed to establish vocal contact and supply her with drinks and food. The incident occurred late Tuesday evening. According to the police, one floor of the small hotel collapsed. At the time of the accident, 14 people were in the building. Five of them were in the safe part of the hotel.
- Taylor Swift's Austrian concerts have been canceled after police thwarted a terrorist attack. Two young men were detained.
