Israeli armed forces conducted a raid on the Gaza Strip on Wednesday night going into Thursday, Eastern Time. The targets were facilities belonging to Hamas fighters, primarily anti-tank launchers. After the mission, the IDF forces returned to their country, announcing the success of the operation. Israel is gradually preparing for a ground invasion in Gaza. This could mean hundreds of casualties and an escalation of the conflict.

On the night of Wednesday to Thursday, the Israeli army raided the Gaza Strip. The command sent tanks, armored vehicles, and infantry into battle. IDF forces attacked Hamas terrorist installations in the north of the Strip, destroying, among others, anti-tank launchers and infrastructure belonging to the fighters.

The IDF command informed about the operation, it was also widely described by local media. According to the "Times of Israel", the objective was to destroy points from which anti-tank missiles were being launched toward Israel. This is a clear signal that Israel is preparing for a ground invasion and plans to intervene in Palestinian territory.

All signs point to the fact that the anticipated attack will finally take place.

Israeli tanks and armored vehicles have entered the Gaza Strip, but it was a one-time action. For now, the armed forces are preparing for a full invasion of areas that belong to the Palestinians. And which are still a refuge for terrorists from Hamas and about 220 people who were kidnapped from Israel. The fate of the hostages is the key issue here.

The Israeli authorities have announced that the invasion will not take place if Hamas releases the kidnapped civilians and soldiers. The terrorists have no intention of negotiating, releasing only a dozen people so far.

The IDF soldiers' raid was just a part of the preparations for the invasion. Facilities were destroyed in the north of the Gaza Strip which could threaten tanks and were detected by reconnaissance. The IDF struck from the north, deploying infantry, tanks, and heavy equipment. Everything was overseen by combat drones, which helped destroy hostile infrastructure.

The next step in the process can be a land invasion into the Gaza Strip.

Israel at war with Hamas, the casualty toll continues to rise

Since the Hamas attack on Israel, which took place on Saturday, October 7, the war is constantly escalating. The Israeli Armed Forces are ready for a land invasion of the Gaza Strip, which is constantly being bombed. The terrorists have been eliminated, but the goal of the IDF and the country's authorities is the complete annihilation of Hamas. The effect is that innocent people, civilians, and children are dying.

We strike our enemies with enormous force. Yesterday during our attacks in the Gaza Strip, we dealt the heaviest blow the enemy had suffered in a single day - said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday.

The balance of the Israeli-Palestinian conflicts, which erupted on October 7 after Hamas attacked the border zone, is staggering. On the Israeli side, as many as 1400 people have died, and almost six thousand are injured. The number of casualties on the Palestinian side is almost six thousand. At least 17 thousand are injured.
