Talent show star Emily Gold found dead in suspected suicide
17-year-old Emily Gold amazed the judges on the American version of "America's Got Talent" a few weeks ago. On September 13, her body was found under a bridge on one of California's highways. The circumstances are horrifying.
She was a school cheerleader, and Simon Cowell was enchanted by her dancing on the "America's Got Talent" stage. Despite her energy, smile, and promising career, the teenager most likely took her own life. What exactly happened?
According to preliminary findings by law enforcement, the participant in the popular talent show allegedly jumped from a bridge over the highway in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Then she was struck by speeding cars. Some drivers fled the scene, and the police are looking for them.
A 17-year-old female of Rancho Cucamonga was struck by at least one vehicle within the high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane of eastbound SR-210 freeway. The female succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene — reported in "People" magazine.
Suspicions of suicide were confirmed by the San Bernardino Coroner's Office, as cited by the newspaper. Emily Gold had no chance of survival. Her death was reported to the school the next day. The school principal issued a special statement.
Eric Cypher appreciated the extracurricular activities of the deceased student. He did not hide that in light of this tragedy; together with teachers and her peers, they prayed and thought about what the teenager's loved ones were going through.
School friends also decided to bid her farewell in another way. They organized a fundraiser, and the collected amount (the goal is $50,000) is intended to be given to the family to honor her memory properly.

Emily Gold and the "Varsity" team showed the American public a complex dance choreography. The head judge said on TV that what they did was "absolutely brilliant."
What I loved about this was first of all the energy. I think what I just saw is everything a great school should be doing, which is encouraging talent and friendship — said Simon Cowell.
