Do you know what's in your purse? Probably only approximately, because a purse - like a black hole - absorbs everything around it. However, it's worth checking its contents from time to time, because some seemingly harmless trinkets... bring bad luck.

A woman's purse is a completely different universe and you can find surprising items in it. We don't clean it often, because who has the time? Besides, you never really know what a woman might need.

That's exactly why it's worth paying attention from time to time to what we keep in our purse. Perhaps entirely by chance, misfortune in the form of some small item, which seems innocent, is associated with some unpleasant superstition. It's worth paying attention to such things, in order not to harm ourselves – even unintentionally. Here is a list of things that are not allowed in a purse.

Don't keep them in your purse. They push away luck and money

There are many trinkets that, in tradition and folk wisdom, are associated with bad luck. Of course, we do not have to believe in it, but why tempt fate? According to popular superstition, buttons should not be carried in a purse or wallet because they repel money. Holes in buttons can be associated with holes through which our luck and success escape.

Besides, the buttons are as round as coins, hence probably the view that they replace money. Whoever carries buttons with them already has their own kind of "currency", so they won't attract new ones. Additionally, if we pick up a button that someone lost, we expose ourselves to an attack of bad energy. The owner of the button is surely upset that they lost it, so they might (often unknowingly!) curse the finder.

Don't do this! There are many superstitions associated with handbags

Another superstition that we've all probably heard is that you should never put your purse on the ground, as that's how money escapes from us. It should be hung on a hook or placed on the back of a chair, always at least at knee height. Color also plays a big role. It's better not to buy a green purse, as it's the color of envy. With such a purse, we will never feel good, instead we might pay more attention to what others have and what we lack. Such envious thinking effectively makes everyone unhappy.

A popular belief says that a wallet should be red because this color attracts money. To match, we can buy the same handbag or simply tie a red bow or string on it. That's quite enough.

Good luck charms. It's worth having them in your purse

It's better to stay away from objects that bring bad luck - just in case. Once we clear the bag of buttons, we can put something in it for good luck, and there is a lot of choice. Chinese wealth coins attract money and success - they are most often carried in threes, bound together with a red string. It's worth carrying a small amulet in the shape of a frog or a carp scale in your wallet, it must be in the coin pocket. It is also beneficial to keep almonds, walnuts, or cloves in your bag. They provide protection and everyday luck, as well as guarantee financial success.
