Why does lime scale form in the kettle?

The main cause of limescale in the kettle is hard water, which deposits mineral components such as calcium and magnesium during boiling. These substances settle on the walls and heater of the kettle, creating a hard layer that is difficult to remove with regular cleaning.

If you want to enhance the descaling effect, you can add a bit of citric acid to the mixture. This natural cleaning agent, known for its descaling properties, perfectly complements the action of vinegar.

By adding citric acid, you not only improve cleaning effectiveness but also neutralize the smell of vinegar. After adding citric acid, perform the descaling of the kettle as described above.
