The Eras Tour is Taylor Swift's first concert tour to reach continental Europe since 2014. Tickets for the largest European stadiums sold out quickly. In total, 2.2 million fans will enjoy the concerts in France, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Germany, and Italy.
40,000 people watched Taylor Swift for free
This number includes people who saw Taylor Swift for free in Munich. According to estimates by the Bavarian police, as reported by the portal popcrave.com, as many as 40,000 people watched the concert on July 27 at the Olympiastadion from a nearby hill. Influencer Jessica Golich recorded this event on TikTok and went viral.
This was possible because the German city of Munich is picturesquely located at the foot of the Alps, and the area with hills adjacent to the stadium is a public park. During the first of two Taylor Swift concerts in Bavaria, so many fans gathered in this area that one of the most popular comments under Golich's recording stated, "For a moment, I literally thought the stadium was next to a trash dump." The hill was completely covered with people.
Additionally, TikToker @thanh_son10 shared a video from the hill itself. Thousands of Swifties sitting on the grass did not have a view of the stage but likely heard the live performance well. Commenters said the event looked like a "Taylor Swift festival." The artist herself greeted from the stage those listening to the concert outside the stadium.
Millions of people will see Taylor Swift's performances in Europe
Almost as many people as on the continent will participate in The Eras Tour in the British Isles. The artist will perform in England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. She will perform at Wembley Stadium a total of eight times, meaning that 800,000 people will watch Taylor Swift's concerts in London during this tour.
