Kick off Valentine's Day with a sweet surprise board for your loved one
Ingredients:
- Approximately 7 marshmallows,
- approximately 6 strawberries,
- about 10 raspberries,
- 3 heart-shaped lollipops,
- around 10 gummy candies,
- 4-5 red pieces of chocolate,
- 4-5 pink pieces of chocolate,
- 6 strawberry wafers,
- 6 chewing gums,
- 8 slices of toast bread,
- 5 teaspoons of cherry jam,
- 7 homemade waffles,
- 6 heart-shaped pieces of chocolate,
- 4 Ferrero Rocher chocolates,
- 10 tubes with vanilla cream,
- approximately 5 cream-less tubes.
Instructions:
Step 1. Begin by preparing the homemade waffles as they're the most time-intensive part of the recipe. Then, cut out a heart from each waffle. Cookie cutters work really well for this process.
Arrange the prepared waffles on a rectangular board. I present some of the hearts solo. On others, I spread homemade jam.
Step 2. Next, I prepare sweet sandwiches using toast bread and cherry-flavored jam. You could also choose from other flavors like raspberry, strawberry, or peach. I cut out a small heart in the middle of each sandwich. Don't discard the removed pieces, instead, spread them with jam and arrange them on the board.
Step 3. Further additions to the board include: chewable gums in pink, heart-themed lollipops, tubes, wafers, and fresh strawberries.
Step 4. That's not all, I fill up the board with more goodies like: raspberries, marshmallows, gummy candies, chocolates, tubes with vanilla cream, candies, and pralines.
Step 5. Finally, your gorgeously laid out Valentine's Day surprise is ready to serve. Bon appétit!
