"First, we must negotiate a just and lasting peace that will respect international law and Ukraine," Malmer Stenergard emphasized in an interview with Swedish Radio.

According to the Swedish Foreign Minister, "when such peace prevails, it will be necessary to ensure its maintenance. We must be certain that the Russians will not attack Ukraine or another country again within a few years," she noted.

On Sunday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the United Kingdom is ready to send troops to Ukraine to enforce the peace terms.
