A dating service operating in the UK asked its users a few questions. Based on this, a report was created that saw the light of day on one of the online portals. The research showed at what point the married Brits think and commit adultery.

The results of a study conducted by a British dating site were clearly presented in percentages. Out of the people who took part in the study, as many as 1/3 had at some point considered and committed adultery. What's more, the respondents' answers coincide as to the year in which the British most frequently commit infidelity to their better half. The summary of the report, which was created thanks to the mentioned website, was published by The Sun.

"Marriage 'for better or for worse'? The results of the study may surprise you"

33 percent of the 2000 surveyed UK citizens admitted that in their third year of marriage, they either had the desire or actually cheated. In the first year of the relationship, an affair occurred to as many as 7 percent of respondents.

Research conducted by the website illicitencounters.com showed that after three years of a formal relationship, one of the spouses felt as if they were already in a seven-year relationship without romantic thrills. It was indeed the complete lack of passion that was the main reason for almost half of the respondents to commit adultery.

Less, because one fourth of Britons stated that having children changed their relationship with their partner and led to the emergence of pressure that also adversely affected the relationship. For another 16 percent, cheating "happened" due to boredom and a desire to seek excitement.

"In this dynamic world, couples are now standing at a crossroads much earlier than in the past," stated the spokesperson for the aforementioned dating site.
