When thinking of cola with fries, the vast majority of us immediately envision it served as a drink to accompany the meal. However, few people know that it can also be useful for preparing them. How can you use it to improve the taste of fries? It's simpler than it seems.

Why should you add Coca-Cola to fries?

Cola is one of those drinks that can be used in many ways. For example, it is used to clean various surfaces. Not everyone knows it can also work well as one of the ingredients for homemade fries.

Thanks to it, the potatoes will become crispy on the outside and soft on the inside after frying. Many people dreaming of this type of fries buy ready-made, frozen products. However, in combination with cola, you can easily achieve this effect by preparing them yourself.

Recipe for fries with Coca-Cola

To prepare fries with Coca-Cola, we need about 1 pound of raw potatoes and 1 quart of cola. First, peel the vegetables, then cut them into medium-thick strips. Before moving on to the next step, it is worth rinsing the potatoes in clean, cold water to remove any dirt.

Once done, we need an empty, medium-sized bowl in which we will place the cut vegetables and pour the cola over them. After 15 minutes, you can lay the potatoes on a paper towel to remove any excess liquid.

Finally, all that's left is to fry them in deep fat and enjoy delicious, homemade fries.
