Vladimir Putin has conclusively resolved to run for re-election in the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for March 2024; this implies his reign over Russia could continue at least until 2030.
The 71-year-old Putin holds a record for being in power at the Kremlin longer than any other Russian leader since the Stalin era. Anonymous sources speaking to Reuters reported that Putin has made his decision to run for re-election, and his advisors are currently preparing for the election campaign.
As per these sources, the official announcement of Putin's participation in the upcoming elections, a mere formality, is expected soon.
No official confirmation of Putin's plans has been acknowledged thus far. However, many sources within diplomacy, intelligence, and authorities predict that Putin's rule over Russia is likely to persist until his demise.
What is Putin's plan?
Political scientist Kyrylo Sazonov spoke to 24 Channel, suggesting that Vladimir Putin will attempt to avoid any mention of the war in Ukraine. Instead, his focus will be on indicting the West with allegations of initiating a war with NATO.
Putin's support appears to be bolstering each time he criticizes the West during his fabricated historical speeches - as stated on the 24tv website.
- Putin would mention Ukraine profusely if he had any highlights to boast about. But he comes up short on laurels. He neither crushes the war nor attains any significant victories. Therefore, his discourse will embark on different topics - said Kyrylo Sazonov.
