Strawberry chocolate jam: A must-try treat for your pantry

Homemade preserves are a real treasure locked in jars. As soon as juicy strawberries appear on the market, I start stocking the jam shelf in my pantry. At that time, I can't miss out on delicious strawberry jam with chocolate. It's hard to resist eating it straight from the jar.

Strawberries and chocolate are simply a perfect combination. It's no wonder they also work well in jam form. Just spread it on toast, pancakes, or waffles; nothing else is needed for happiness. This recipe is a must-have in my annual "canning" event at home. No matter how many jars I make, they all disappear in the blink of an eye.

Baskets are filled with delicious fruits in Late May and early June. Strawberries end up not only in desserts but also in jars. Homemade strawberry jam with chocolate is the perfect way to preserve the summer taste of strawberries and enrich it with a distinctive hint of chocolate. Depending on your preference, you can use milk, dark, or white chocolate. I most often choose dark chocolate, which adds depth of flavor and enhances the sweet fruits.

Strawberry jam with chocolate is more than just a fruit preserve in a jar—it's a delicious dessert that both adults and children will love. It will quickly replace the beloved Nutella and become the best addition to pancakes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs strawberries
  • 3.5 oz dark chocolate
  • One package of pectin
  • 12 oz sugar

Preparation method:

  1. Wash and dry the strawberries thoroughly. Remove the stems.
  2. Put the fruits in a large, heavy-bottomed pot. Add the pectin and stir.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring to prevent burning.
  4. Add the sugar and bring to a boil. Cook for 3 minutes. Don't forget to stir.
  5. Chop the chocolate finely and add it to the strawberries.
  6. Once the chocolate melts, pour the jam into clean, sterilized jars.
  7. Screw the lids tightly and place the jars upside down until they cool down.

Store the ready strawberry jam with chocolate in a cool, dark place. Enjoy!
