Steven Seagal's secret Russian gigs: $195k for 50 minutes
For 20 million rubles (approximately 195,000 dollars), Russians can hire Steven Seagal for a company event. The former action movie star has held Russian citizenship since 2016 and is a big fan of Vladimir Putin.
The 72-year-old Seagal is a former actor, screenwriter, and film producer. In the past, he had a successful career in Hollywood and, along with Jean-Claude Van Damme and Arnold Schwarzenegger, was an icon of action films. Born in Michigan, Seagal now claims he is Russian, and he considers Russia his home.
In his new home, where he moved a decade ago, he earns money by performing at corporate events. "The client must provide the star with airfare, transport within the city, accommodations with meals, security, and sound and lighting during the event," reports Belsat.
The service references the "Baza" channel on Telegram, which provided more details about partying with the star of the film "Marked for Death."
An hour with Seagal
It turns out Seagal's performance must remain a secret. No materials from the event are allowed to be published, and only photos of the actor can be taken with small cameras. The performance itself lasts 50 minutes. At the star's special request, he may deliver two previously prepared speeches.
Once Seagal is hired, the event cannot be canceled. Only illness or other incapacitation of the former actor may lead to rescheduling the event. A refund is possible only in the event of Seagal's death or that of a family member, Belsat emphasizes.
