It's essential to examine our eating habits. Specialists recommend eliminating highly processed foods and those rich in sugar, salt, and trans fats from our diet. Consuming high-alcohol beverages is also very harmful. Alcohol consumption should be significantly limited because regular drinking increases the risk of liver, intestinal, throat, mouth, esophagus, larynx, and breast cancer in women.

Too much red meat also negatively impacts health. Experts have long warned that highly developed societies consume too much of it, leading to an increase in cancer cases. Dr. Amy Lee from the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center emphasizes that controlling emotions and accepting difficult situations can help us deal with problems more efficiently. Mental balance is, therefore, essential.

Stress weakens the immune system, making it more susceptible to developing cancer cells. Incorporating a moment of physical activity into the daily schedule, such as a walk outdoors, a workout, meditation, or yoga, is beneficial. Even a few minutes outside can significantly improve our well-being.

Cancer prevention must also include regular check-ups and vaccinations, which must be performed with appropriate regularity. Additionally, it is crucial to quit smoking completely.

An important element of cancer prevention is weight control. Living with overweight or obesity significantly increases cancer risk. Moreover, avoiding excessive sun exposure is essential.
