Stephen Curry is a man of several talents. He excels not only in basketball but also in golf, where he won a prestigious celebrity tournament.

Golf is an extremely popular sport in the United States. One of the enthusiasts of this sport is Stephen Curry, the leader of the Golden State Warriors. He loves playing golf, and in 2019, he decided to invest a significant amount of money in the sport. As reported by American media, Curry will sponsor the golf team at Howard University for six years.

In 2023, Curry participated in the American Century Championship, a tournament for celebrities and athletes. The 36-year-old won his first golf tournament and did so in truly impressive style.

During the competition, the basketball player hit the hole directly on the first shot, from a distance of 167 yards (rounded). For an amateur, this is a truly phenomenal result.

Right now, I am so excited that it's crazy. I will be out of breath for the rest of the day, but for good reason," said Stephen Curry, quoted by CNN.

During the tournament, we could see, among others, boxer Saul Alvarez and Hollywood actors Michael Peña and Don Cheadle.

Now Curry has taken advantage of the break in the NBA season and has once again appeared on the golf course. He excelled alongside Gary Williams at the Garry Cup tournament.

New contract for the NBA star

Curry began his professional career in 2009 when he was selected by the Golden State Warriors. Soon, he became one of the most influential figures in the NBA. His shooting skills, especially from long distance, revolutionized basketball.

Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN revealed that Stephen Curry is close to signing a contract extension with the Golden State Warriors, which will increase his league-high salary by another 7 million dollars. The new agreement will allow him to stay with the team until the end of the 2026-27 season.
