In one of her interviews, 53-year-old Keri reminisces on a moment six years prior when she crafted a bucket list of life goals at the age of 47.
Pole dancing was one of the entries on her list. Keri confesses that she initially harbored fears that she was too old for such physically demanding discipline.
Keri remembers her decades-long fascination with dance, a passion that was often overshadowed by her struggles with being overweight and subsequent eating disorders.
Determined not to let history repeat itself, Keri decided to persevere with pole dancing. What started as a fun experiment quickly became a passion that has transformed her life.
I initially planned to attend just one class, but the environment was so supportive nonjudgmental, and the diversity in body shapes motivated me to continue. Now, at 53, I am stronger than ever before," she reflects.
Over time, Keri became a performer in the world of pole dancing. As her skills improved, she started receiving invitations to clubs featuring pole shows. Looking back, she shares:
If someone had told me I would be doing this when I started, I would have dismissed it outright. Now, it's my career and my life. I have the opportunity to travel the world doing what I love," Keri emphasizes.
