Fans had to wait three years for new episodes of the "Squid Game." The creators have just announced that the second season will premiere on December 26, 2024. But that's not all! In 2025, we will see the third and final installment of the Netflix hit. The first trailer is already out!

It was a true phenomenon! The South Korean series hit the Netflix platform in September 2021 and immediately became a global sensation. To date, "Squid Game" has been watched over 265 million times, and the total viewing time has reached 2.2 billion hours, making it the biggest hit in Netflix history. Awards poured in (including the first-ever Emmy for an Asian director, received by Hwang Dong-hyuk), and it received excellent reviews from viewers and critics (95% positive on Rotten Tomatoes).

No wonder the world was clamoring for more. The creators announced a return, but there was no news about the work progress for a long time. Only now has it been announced that the premiere of the second season will take place on the second day of Christmas, which is December 26, 2024.

What is "Squid Game" about?

456 people are invited to participate in a mysterious game. They have only one thing in common—financial problems, and the grand prize is very enticing. The game takes place in a closed-off area and consists of several stages. Losing means death.

What about the second season?

The action of the second season takes place three years after the first season's events. The main character, who managed to survive, wants to reach the people who invented the cruel game. He uses the prize money for the search. It turns out that to end the game; he will have to participate in it again...

It promises to be a thrilling time. The first season of "Squid Game" is available on Netflix.
