Kyrylo Budanov, the Head of Ukrainian Military Intelligence (HUR), expressed his belief that the Russian offensive on Ukrainian territory would end with the arrival of spring. The current offensive operation led by Russia in Ukraine began in November 2023.

Budanov emphasized that a clearer picture of the situation at the front would start taking shape as spring approached in his statement to the RBK-Ukraine outlet.

Throughout the current offensive, Russian forces have not achieved significant success, Budanov assessed. He also noted that the enemy forces had advanced towards Avdiivka, a city in the Donetsk region.

Budanov predicts the offensive will continue, however, as spring arrives, he anticipates it will "completely exhaust itself".

"Once the enemy's troop movement comes to an end, our forces' movement will begin," Budanov repeated, indicating that Ukrainian troops will be prepared to react as the Russian offensive ends.
