Thanks to Offline Backup, Spotify enables access to your favorite songs at any time and place, as the creators explained in a press release. This feature is especially useful for people frequently traveling, staying in remote parts of the world, or wanting to save on data.
The Offline Backup in the Spotify app is essentially an automatically created playlist of tracks that are already stored on the device (in the cache) due to frequent listening. Users can filter and sort the songs on the playlist by artist, mood, or genre.
The Offline Backup playlist automatically appears in the “Home” section whenever the user loses internet access, provided they have listened to at least five songs in a row beforehand. To enable this feature, ensure the offline option in Spotify is turned on. You can check this in the “Settings” section under “Data Saving and Offline” or “Storage.”
Spotify advises adding the Offline Backup feature to “your library” for easy access at any time. If the Offline Backup is not visible in the app, you need to ensure that the software has been updated to the latest version. It can be found, among other places, through the Dobreprogramy directory.
