Devil's mushrooms - your recipe for a delicious and spicy side dish

Delicious and spicy, devil's mushrooms make a perfect addition to your primary course or a warm appetizer. Their preparation is simple and quick, and the taste is simply mind-blowing!

Ingredients:

  • 1.1 lbs of mushrooms,
  • 1/2 cup of tomato passata,
  • 2 garlic cloves,
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil,
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley,
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped chives,
  • 1 tablespoon of liquid honey,
  • 1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground chili,
  • salt and pepper to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Devil’s fried mushrooms are a warm appetizer and a superb enhancement to various main courses. We start by cutting and peeling the mushrooms, keeping little ones whole, and chopping larger ones into smaller pieces.
  2. Next, we prepare the devil's sauce, which makes this dish unforgettable. In a heated pan, the garlic, pressed through a garlic press, mingles with the dancing olive oil and is followed by tomato passata, balsamic vinegar, and honey. We add ground chili for a bit of a kick. This delightful mix fills the kitchen with an intense aroma.
  3. It's now time for the mushrooms, our main element. We toss them into the pan, mix them meticulously with the devil's sauce, and leave them to simmer covered. The flavors start to blend, forming an unmatchable array of tastes. After 20 minutes, we introduce fresh herbs - parsley and chives, give it all a good mix, and it's ready!

What makes devil's mushrooms so tantalizing?

Besides the delightful mushrooms, which form the anchor of this dish, the additions also play a crucial role. The sauce of tomato passata, garlic, honey, and balsamic vinegar adds a trademark taste and aroma to the mushrooms. The touch of chili offers the dish an added edge.

Devil's fried mushrooms are not only a tasty snack but also an exceptional addition to various meals. They can confidently be served as a unique accompaniment to grilled meats or as a stand-alone dish at a house party.
