Love can be truly unpredictable. Often, couples struggle to find mutual understanding. When one person cares more than the other, the relationship is usually doomed to failure.
A woman from Spain learned this the hard way. Unfortunately, she became highly vindictive, inflicting significant harm on her ex's health. Did the man ever return to full health?
The woman bit off her ex's tongue
Adaia López is a 26-year-old from Spain. She spent the last few years at the Sant Antoni de Calonge resort on the Costa Brava coast, north of Barcelona. There, she worked as a model and participated in daring photo shoots. Adaia was previously in a relationship with a much older man named Aaron. Unfortunately, Aaron decided to end the relationship, which made Adaia furious.
She began begging him for one last kiss. Unaware of her intentions, Aaron complied. Then, the model seized his tongue with her teeth and bit it off. The painful revenge severely affected Aaron's health. The 40-year-old lost the ability to distinguish between salty and sweet tastes.
The woman landed behind bars
After the brutal act, Adaia decided to hide near Brazil. The international manhunt lasted several months and finally ended successfully. The aggressive Spaniard was fined $64,000 and sentenced to 15 days imprisonment.
The lawyer representing the injured man argued that Adaia deserved a harsher punishment: "Here we have a lady who committed a serious crime, left someone without their tongue and right now is not where she should be, which is in the hands of justice despite the fact she has a prison sentence hanging over her head."
