High temperatures can lead to water retention in the body, resulting in swelling. This can be caused by external and internal factors, such as heart disease, kidney issues, diabetes, or thrombosis.

Vinegar is mainly associated with cooking or cleaning. However, it turns out to be invaluable in the natural care of feet. How can you prepare a home vinegar soak for your feet? Let's find out.

Home foot bath

Vinegar is often used to clean various surfaces. When mixed with baking soda, it works great for unclogging drains. However, it has other uses as well.

Not everyone knows it can also be used in your daily care routine. It's especially useful in fighting swollen feet. After a long day, it's worth giving your feet a relaxing soak in water with vinegar, preferably apple cider vinegar.

Add one cup of vinegar to every quart of warm water in a basin. A cup of sea salt and Epsom salt will also help soften the skin. To neutralize the strong smell of vinegar, add some essential oil, preferably lavender, to help you relax.

Soak your feet in this mixture every day for a week—fifteen minutes is enough. Vinegar can help remove calluses, reduce pain, and treat cracked heels and thickened skin.

Vinegar eliminates unpleasant foot odor

Vinegar is also effective in fighting unpleasant foot odors. Such a bath also strengthens nails and helps treat fungal infections.

However, remember that vinegar should not be used if the feet have irritations or wounds. In such cases, healing may be slower.
