Thermomix, a multifunctional kitchen robot produced by the German company Vorwerk, has been a popular tool for simplifying meal preparation. It boasts capabilities such as mixing, cooking, blending, grinding, weighing, and steam cooking, among others. Its versatility and intuitive interface, often a touchscreen, make it an indispensable appliance in space-constrained kitchens, capable of replacing numerous kitchen devices.
Is making coffee beyond Thermomix users?
A provocative post on Portal X, mocking a Thermomix app recipe for "brewed coffee," ignited a flurry of reactions. With a surprisingly modest rating of 3.8 stars out of 5, the recipe prompted users to question the necessity of such a guide. Comments ranged from sarcastic remarks about the simplicity of making instant coffee in 10 minutes to jokes about the impracticality of using an expensive device for a basic task like brewing coffee.
Thermomix users strike back
In defense, Thermomix owners shared their perspectives. One user admitted, "I own a Thermomix and rely on it for cooking, as I'm not naturally skilled in the kitchen. However, I'm starting to question my purchase due to some of the nonsensical recipes submitted by users." Another weighed in on the coffee debate: "Actually, coffee brewed for a bit is superior to just pouring boiling water over the grounds."
