"Taking sides with Ukraine doesn't solve the problem; it only escalates the tension. According to Danko, Russia is defending its interests, not acting as an aggressor," Danko announced.
When asked about the aggressor in the context of Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine, Danko responded that "life is not black and white", adding that "everyone played a role in this, including Ukrainians who failed to reconcile with the Russian national minority."
"Russians entered these territories believing they were aiding their nation," Danko stated.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, in a recent interview, expressed his view that Ukraine isn't fully sovereign. Since 2014, he argued, it has been under the "total influence and control of the USA."
Fico has voiced opposition to Ukraine joining NATO, arguing it could trigger World War III. He further mentioned that a military solution to the conflict in Ukraine is non-existent and suggested that Ukraine might have to surrender part of its territory.
