Sleeping naked might not be as beneficial as you think, experts warn
This might seem embarrassing, but it's genuine. According to Dr. Anthony Youn, the average person produces gas 15 to 25 times a day, including during sleep.

"Scientific research has evidenced that with each passage of gas, we literally spray a tiny amount of feces," - explains Youn.
Therefore, if we sleep naked, this "spray" lands on our bed sheets. Sleeping in tights or stockings is also risky as they trap such particles, as per the expert's explanation.
Dust Mites
Dr. Karl has also shared his thoughts on the subject of sleeping naked. In a TikTok video, he unraveled the mystery behind dead cells. Our body produces around half a gram (0.01 oz) of dead cells daily, which act as magnates for dust mites. Sweat amplifies this issue, causing dirt to stick to our bodies.
"If you tend to sweat a lot, do not shower before bed, and also sleep without pajamas, you might need to wash your bed sheets twice a week," the expert advises.
On the other hand, those who shower before bed and sleep in pajamas can wash their sheets every few weeks. Nevertheless, they should change their pajamas regularly.
No matter what, maintaining cleanliness of our sleeping area and sleepwear is vital. Clean sheets promote quality sleep, but if they're placed in a dusty room, they might induce various health issues- from respiratory diseases to different types of skin allergies. Sleeping naked during heatwaves is not advisable due to excessive sweating and lack of material to absorb the moisture from our body's surface. Wearing a light t-shirt or nightgown can be beneficial in such situations.
