This installment is "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning", which had its premiere on June 19, 2023. The film is the work of director Christopher McQuarrie, who co-wrote the script alongside Erik Jendresen.

If you haven't managed to see this action-packed film yet, now's the time to get on board. The film will be available on SkyShowtime starting February 9.

The plot of "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning" sees Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise), along with the IMF team, set off on another high-stakes mission. He has to secure a deadly weapon that, if fallen into the wrong hands, could pose a massive threat to humankind.

When ominous characters from Ethan's past unexpectedly show up, a lethal race around the globe begins. The stakes are high: control of the future and the destiny of the world. Ethan is confronted with a mysterious and potent enemy, leading him to the realization that his mission overrides everything else, even the lives of those he holds dear.

"Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning" comes to SkyShowtime

The film has received positive feedback from both audiences and critics. Apart from Tom Cruise, the stellar cast includes Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga, Henry Czerny, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, Frederick Schmidt, Cary Elwes, and Rob Delaney. Additionally, Paramount Global Content Distribution handles the film's distribution.

From February 9, "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning" will be added to the selection of films available on SkyShowtime. Other "Mission Impossible" series titles available on the platform comprise "Mission: Impossible" (1996), "Mission: Impossible II" (2000), "Mission: Impossible III" (2006), "Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol" (2011), "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation" (2015), and "Mission: Impossible – Fallout" (2018).

For McQuarrie's film to be realized, it required a hefty sum of 300 million dollars. Within the first five weeks in cinemas, the film earned a considerable $523 million, obviously surpassing the production budget.

In the latest episode of the "Clickbait" podcast, we focus on the series "Forst" starring Borys Szyc, discuss the latest film featuring Nicolas Cage, and deliberate on "The Curse"–a production deemed as one of the most awkward of recent years.
